The Internal Revenue Service has mandated that all professionally prepared individual income tax returns be filed electronically. Electronic filing is generally beneficial to the taxpayer, the preparer and the IRS as it results in fewer processing errors and faster processing.
The mandate applies to me the professional preparer. You, the taxpayer and client, however, can make the final decision. If you prefer to file a paper return, you must make a formal request to me. Click here for the formal request to file a paper tax return.
